Many security testing products contain encryption software or radio hardware, and some are covered by export control and sanctions laws. We check every order against these rules before it ships. This page explains what that means for you.
Countries we cannot ship to
We do not ship to, or accept orders for use in, countries and regions under comprehensive sanctions. This currently includes:
- Cuba
- Iran
- North Korea
- Syria
- Russia and Belarus
- the Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions of Ukraine
This list changes as sanctions change. If a country is added, we will cancel and refund any open orders to it.
Screening of buyers
We do not sell to people or organisations named on government sanctions and denied-party lists, including the lists kept by the United States, the European Union and the United Kingdom. Orders that match a listed name are held until we can confirm the buyer’s identity, and are cancelled if the match is confirmed.
Export classification
Most products we sell are mass-market items that can be exported to most countries without a licence. Some manufacturers publish the export classification of their products. For example, Hak5 classifies its products under ECCN 5D992.c (no licence required) under the United States Export Administration Regulations. If you need the classification of a specific product for your own records or customs paperwork, email sales@redkitlabs.com with the product name.
Re-export
If you buy from us and then send products to another country, you are responsible for following the export and sanctions rules that apply to that shipment. You must not re-export products to the countries listed above or to listed persons.
Import rules in your country
Some countries restrict the import of radio transmitters, encryption devices, lock picks or access control tools, or require them to carry local approval marks. You are responsible for checking the import rules of the destination country before you order. If customs refuses an import, the costs of return or disposal are covered in our shipping policy.
