The RFID Research Group Chameleon Lite is a compact emulator for authorised access-control assessments, RFID research and security education. It can simulate selected high-frequency 13.56 MHz ISO 14443A tags and low-frequency 125 kHz EM4XX tags. The Chameleon Lite is an emulator, not a general-purpose HF tag reader or writer.

Compatibility and setup

Use the ChameleonUltra UI tools on Windows, macOS, Linux or Android, or use the compatible command-line tools. The package includes the Chameleon Lite and a USB-A to USB-C cable. RFID Research Group documentation notes that the Lite cannot read or write HF tags and is intended for emulation.
