WiFi Pineapple Enterprise provides a web-managed platform for authorised wireless security assessments. Hak5 documents features for managing access points and clients, applying engagement filters, configuring network modes and reviewing wireless activity. It is intended for security professionals, researchers and students working with explicit permission.

• Web interface: Manage the device through its browser-based interface, including notifications, firmware information and a web terminal.
• Engagement controls: Use filters to limit or exclude selected clients and SSIDs.

Technical details

• The management interface is available through the USB Ethernet connection and the configured management WiFi network.
• The documented setup process supports connection over USB Ethernet or the device’s open setup access point.
• The setup access point uses an SSID in the format Pineapple_XXXX, based on the final four characters of the device MAC address.
• A DHCP address is provided when connecting to the setup access point.

Compatibility and setup

Hak5 documents setup guidance for Linux and Windows, USB Ethernet, WiFi-based setup and USB-disk setup. Complete the setup wizard, then access the web interface using the credentials created during setup. Follow Hak5’s documentation for firmware updates and persistent storage.
