The Generic RFID Range Extender is a passive antenna accessory for authorised RFID assessments, laboratory research and security education. It couples a host antenna to a separate reader antenna, helping improve a weak or unstable RFID field or place the reading zone away from the host device. It requires no external power, wiring or soldering, and is available with a 30cm or 50cm cable.

Compatibility and setup

Place the host antenna beside the RFID reader or device antenna, then position the reader antenna where the intended reading zone is required. The extender is designed for 13.56MHz RFID systems. No software, firmware or host operating system is specified.
