Descripción
KrakenSDR from KrakenRF is a five-channel coherent software-defined radio for authorised RF work. Use it to collect and compare signals from multiple antenna inputs, support direction-finding projects and analyse spectrum data in security research, education and approved field investigations.
Key features
- Five coherent-capable receivers: five RTL-SDR circuits share one local oscillator for coherent signal processing.
- Automatic synchronisation: built-in hardware and supplied Linux software manage coherence synchronisation and calibration.
- Open-source software: KrakenRF provides open-source DAQ, DSP and direction-finding software, plus a GNU Radio interface.
- Web interface: configure frequency, gain and other DAQ settings, while viewing live spectrum and direction-finding output.
- Mobile direction finding: KrakenRF provides an Android application for mapping, logging data and estimating transmitter location. Direction-finding software is also available for iOS.
- Bias tees: each SMA input provides 4.5 V for compatible powered RF accessories.
- Field-ready enclosure: the aluminium enclosure is designed for heat dissipation and phase stability.

Compatibility and setup
KrakenSDR processing software runs on a separate host, typically a Raspberry Pi 4, Raspberry Pi 5, similar single-board computer or PC. A 5 V, 2.4 A or higher USB-C power supply, USB-C data cable and a five-element antenna array are required. Antennas and host hardware are not included unless separately specified.
Buying in the UK and EU
Prices are available in GBP, EUR or USD, with VAT handled at checkout where applicable. UK and EU buyers must check national radio rules, licence-exempt bands and any other requirements before transmitting. Receiving and analysing signals is the common lawful use, and all activity should be authorised.
